This is the first time I've heard him clarify that he will use a computer running non-fee software from time to time for convenience. He's not totally extreme.

"I don't mind using somebody else's computer once in a while, regardless of what software it has on it. If I'm visiting somebody that has a Windows machine, I'll use it to browse the net. It's convenient for me to do so. It's not an important right or wrong for me whether I touch his computer. But what I won't do is have one set up for me running non-free software."
I thought it was interesting.

Doesn't BSD have LIVE CD's like Ubuntu does? If he wanted to be free...he can ....even on someone else's computer.

Since someone else paid for the license, I guess it is free to use.
