Today SGI frees GNU/Linux 3D

This is very good news. This now makes it possible to have 3D support and be free.

Since as a community we're quick to get on a company that chooses poorly, it would be nice for everyone to give thanks to CGI. I used the second e-mail link.

Regarding the press announcement "SGI Further Opens Its OpenGL Contributions", I wanted to stop by and give thanks to SGI as a user of GNU/Linux, free software and the software you have given to the community of users worldwide. Thank you for the contribution of software, and taking the time to work out the the license changes with the Free Software Foundation, of which I am a member.
