This raises so many questions. Will Richard Stallman insist that the baby be called GNU/Linux?
How about first name Gnu, middle name Linux.
Gnu Linux Nielsen...lol

Maybe he's just the kernel, and whatever else he does in his life will be added to him as experience under his belt.
Seriously though, I don't know why people do this to their children. Have they thought about the repercussions of this? Heck, my name is Claudio which is a common name in South America and Europe (my parents are from Argentina), yet I was still mocked for having such a strange name here in the US. Personally, naming your child after the kernel of an operating system? I guess to each their own.
Of course, I guess that's nothing compared to names like "Usmail" (oos-mah-EEL) and "Usnavy" (oos-NAH-vee) that I've seen from people that just came from Cuba to Florida. The best one I've eveer heard was "Transito" for a boy (means "traffic" or "transit" in English). These do make the name "Linux" for a child seem rather subtle.
I guess at least they didn't call him
"BOB".

I think he's going to grow up and sock his parents for naming him that.
