G4 clarification

I first want to start out by saying that I enjoy listening to your pod casts, where else can you be besides being right in the thick of things, where you're just listening to a group of guys BS about the things that one enjoys doing themselves. Anyway, while listening to your episode 90, I know I'm a bit behind here but I'm catching up, about 23 minutes into the show, G4 is brought up in the conversation. I too have to agree that G4 sucks now and I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this but I just wanted to set Pat straight on something that he had. First and foremost, G4 was never TechTV, G4 was a network channel of Comcast even before Comcast bought TechTV which was originally ZDTV, something that was created by Ziff Davis. G4 was always a gaming show that was shooting for the 18 and under crowd and when the owner of TechTV, can't remember his name at the moment, started to see them making money, he put it up for sale. G4 was a failing network and when they purchased TechTV, knowing what there viewer base was, they figured that would help boost them to where they needed to be. Once Comcast owned TechTV, that's when they broke them down from what they once were, which was a good tech network. Comcast had other plans and that was to shoot for that 18 and under game playing crowd. So you were partially correct there Pat, the part where Comcast destroyed the shows that were worth watching. They have since brought Leo's Call For Help 2.0 from Canada back into their lineup, but all in all, it will never be the same.
