Hey guys,

Thanks for playing our promo. I'm just uploading episode 7 of our show, with your promo in it.

Just to let you know, we're always sober when we record! You *really* don't want to hear a drunken Aq :-D

Matthew.

I am on the edge of my seat waiting! I've been to the lugradio site three times now! At least there is <a href="http://www.slugradio.org">SLUGRadio</a> to hold me over.

I think it was Linc who made the drunk comment. Set your sites on him and fire away. Knock him off of that pedistal Allan has put him on.

Hey guys,

Is it Linc that doesn't like beer? You're drinking the wrong beer. You three guys come to the UK and we can record some shows, and drink good beer :)

Matthew.

When I was in Britain I became very fond of bitter. It's real smooth but man does it give you gas! Especially when combined with Jamaican beef patties purchased before a football match near Loftus Road in London

Lately I've become very fond of Belgian lagers. Stella Artois rules!!

For me the ultimate beer is Pauwel Kwak (also Belgium)

Now now, I was referring to *their* comment on their promo "We like drinking!" :-)

I'm a bitter man (in the finest way) it normally goes well with spicy food. My local brewery (also the largest independant in the uk) made a special beer for drinking with hot curries a couple of years back.

Can't beat mexican food with a pint of bitter on the side.

Hey! I represent that fact!

For you good sir I shall sit naked on that wonderful cloth chair over the next week and let my gas fragrant the cushion. Then we shall see that smart smirk on your face come Wednesday as each shifting of your arese release the trapped fragrances.

I like micro-brews myself, mostly of the red lager family. There's one restaurant/micro-brewery near me, in fact I work there...the restaurant part and then "work" the bar afterwards.

http://www.coloradobelle.com/index.php? ... restaurant Their webpage kind of sucks, but good thing no one saw the one before.

My work is really boring though if I could set-up a laptop off to the side with a wi-fi connection, then it would far more interesting and lessen the rush to the bar for a few 22oz red lagers to relax.

I just have to talk the boss into it. Yeah! I need it to look up new recipes and the connection is kind of slow, that's why this has a DVD drive....to watch films...about cooking techniques from Cordon Blu and CIA.

Poo, I'll just have another red and think dream about it.

Hey, what were you doing in the UK? Whereabouts were you?

I'm a big fan of real ales (microbrews in the US?)

The best selling lager in the UK, is Stella, I think. Or certainly one of them. It's okay but not a patch of the glorious king of Belgian beers, Hoegaarden.

We don't really get many red lagers in the UK. Anyway, I think this discussion is going rapidly off topic :) What's the difference in taste?

Let's see: London, Bath, Oxford, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness, St. Andrews, Stirling
The biggest blowouts were in Edinburgh where we hung out with a bunch of hot Kiwi chicks and a Fleet Street (London) private party which I don't remember much. :) The last time I went was in late 90's before getting married. Me and a couple of friends had a great time. My liver needed a vacation after that trip!

My next European jaunt probably will be to Spain. My grandmother in Madrid (and the rest of Spanish relatives) have yet to see my 6 month old son. We're thinking of going in Nov 05.

I just started getting into Belgian brews. The ones I had were very good. I've heard of this place in Philadelphia which has nice selection:
http://radoran.dca.net/monkshistory.cfm
We'll have to make a special tasting trip down there.

These are some of my old favorite hang outs In NYC :
Peculier Pub (in Manhattens Greenwich village)
http://www.nycbeer.org/peculier-reviews.html
David Copperfield's (upper E. side of Manhatten)
Killmeyer's Old Bavarian Inn (in Staten Island, my old home town)
Adobe Blues (also in Staten Island)
Croxley Ales (in Manhatten & Nassau County, Long Island)

Here in the Lehigh Valley:
http://www.thebrewworks.com/
http://www.raubsvilleinn.com/ - Cajun place with a nice Mediterrean style bar (nice selection on tap). They also have live jazz & blues on the weekends

The Lehigh Valley (Easton, Allentown, Bethlehem) is roughly equal distance (70 miles) from NYC and Philly. I'm originally from NYC and really don't know Philly all that well.
