Based on Pat's review, I picked up one of these little players from newegg (I got the black 1 gig) and it totally rocks. I also have an ipod, but I'm starting to get sick of the drm/itunes way of doing things, so having a totally open player is very cool.

Thanks also guys for the magnatunes.com interview and discussion. I've been checking them out and they really have some good music. Check out the album by Myles Cochran; very cool, sort of folksy, bluesy, mellow. Nice.

Thanks. Glad to hear you're liking your new player. So far I'm still liking mine. I only wish it had a 10 minute skip ahead button. This is true of most if not all audio players on the market. I'm sure as podcasting gets more popular such a feature might make it onto a new model.

Yeah, the 10 minute skip ahead would be cool. The only downside to the iaudio5 is that the controls are not very intuitive. But, other than that, it's a totally sweet player.
