Linc's Voyager

Does Linc still have his Voyager, and if so, what's he running on it right now? I have one of these little beasts, and it currently has sunOS (some early version) on it. I'd like to slap something a little more useful on there and use it for something besides looking at once in a blue moon - no CD ROM though, only floppy.

Yup, I sure do. Right now I am running Splack on it (slackware for sparcstations) and it seems to do quite well on it. I have been considering putting debian on it as of late though because debian is much more recent and complete right now though. Either way, it's pretty straight forward getting either of those on your sparcstation at this point, but I would try and get you hands on a external scsi cdrom to do it with. It sure makes like a little easier

Yeah, I looked around a while back on ebay, and most people wanted $100+ for the cdroms. Considering this thing has a slower proc than my toaster, and is mostly a nostalgia piece (this is the machine I first learned any unix at all on), I'd have a hard time investing that kind of cash in it. Do you know offhand if there's a good debian netboot image for sparc? All the ones I found for my Soekris net4801 were broken except for the one Ian himself put up. Debian runs like an absolute champ on that little dude though.
