Suggestions for a Linux phone ...

I've been considering entering the 21st century and getting myself a cellphone. I've been looking around me for a little bit, and I'd to ask everyone in here. I'm looking for a Linux smartphone, that does a lot of stuff beyond phone stuff, preferably with good battery life, and hopefully one that supports custom applications, so that I can get an SSH client on there and stuff like that.
I was looking at a phone like the HTC Touch Pro, which looks cool in terms of capabilities, but runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, does anybody know of something like the HTC Touch Pro, but with Linux as the OS?
