$199 at Best Buy in Florence KY
I saw these on sale there for $199 each. I saw a open box returned unit, I got the open box for $185. When I get time I will report on what I think of it. Might try to install Ubuntu on it. More later....

I am fairly impressed with the EEE PC 900, It found all the wireless networks around me with no problem. It does internet audio fine, for the RBN network for instance ...it plays the stream through the firefox M stream player. 4 GB hard drive is nearly filled with like 400 MB left.
4 GB is way too small for any netbook or any computer for that matter. But the upshot is that USB flash drives are so inexpensive nowadays so its a minor issue. The Xandros KDE is fairly intuitive, and kind of reminds me of Apple OSX in the sense of simplicity with the icons and point and click.
I might just leave the OS as is unless I decide to replace the 4 GB SSD with a larger one and then install Ubuntu on it. The only potential issue I can immediately see is that if I needed to update the OS with security updates or new versions...there might not be much room...(if any) for updates.
Basically its simple and it works and its cheap and very small. The only real issue is the small hard drive which may not have much room for important updates. I am sure there are a number of hacks for this netbook. Its worth the $185 I paid for it , if you can get it for $225 or under...then go for it.
