That is just what we need more people sounding like "Barney" from the kid's tv show. Songsmith won't last ten minutes. if anyone has any memory of "Barney".

Garage Band hits the scene and it is alright. You can do some pretty cool things with garage band.
Guitar Hero makes a big smash and Frets on Fire follows. Really good stuff. Fun and entertaining. Then comes Rock Band. Two thumbs up, but you cannot create your own content.
Then Wii music splashes on the scene. Nintendo takes some great concepts and dumbs it down for the fisher price family. Grrrr.
Finally MS comes out with the biggest piece of shit one could think of in attempt to finally lay rest to this potentially interesting genre. What will follow is a slew of horrendous crap to make all our ears cry out in vain. I do suspect, along the way, some creative geniuses will produce a gem or two but the turds will be astounding. Holy crap.

Rumor hs it that the zune is doomed. Shame ms did not take my suggestions, they would be sitting pretty now. I hope the emballmer is one of the people let go.

My nephew had a gift card to Circuit City and made the mistake of buying the Zune. The Zune only works on Windows. I told him to sell it on Ebay since he runs Linux. I do hear it will work in Virtual Box or Vmware.
