I could listen to the episode again, but others might want a reminder too.

Was it Penumbra Overature?

http://www.penumbra-overture.com/

There have been so many games these past few weeks I cannot remember.

Thanks Dann, but you mentioned a couple of games with shorter names. They sounded like the sort of thing I could play with my 5 year old boy.

I just checked out the demo for Penumbra Overture, and BOY did it have me hooked! I haven't played a game like that in a very long time. This would definitely be worth the money. Very impressive how you could interact with pretty much everything there, and the suspense that it built up was awesome.

i bought that game (Penumbra Overature). it wasn't bad. and $20 is quite reasonable.

its first person. but, there is no fighting. its all a problem solving adventure. i liked it, and played it right through. plus, it felt good to support a company that was supporting Linux. we need more game companies to support Linux!

I listened again and found them in a few minutes: Thanks Dann. Ri-li looks perfect for my boy. He loves Thomas the Tank Engine.

Most definitely!

I liked it because it wasn't just mind-numbing shooting-everything-that-walks-in-front-of-you entertainment (although I do enjoy those from time to time). This actually required some thought, much like the old text adventure games from the 80s did. I read some reviews on it and one of the reviews said that graphically, it was behind compared to other mainstream games in the same genre. Personally, I'll take great gameplay over flashy graphics anyday. Just one of the reasons why I still love playing old arcade games in MAME over some of the tripe most PC gamers go nips-hard over.

Ri-li rocks! My boy is laughing his head off as I write this.
