Sony leads the charge to disable analog outputs

Basically analog connections (including component) would be disabled on set top boxes and DVD players. Very disturbing stuff.

That's good, as long as they start selling converters for like $100.00 Just kidding. But this should be an issue with a converter really. I just think that we should consolidate and have all 15 pin VGA outputs as HDMI.

If they mess up my equipment, so that I can not use what I paid for, Sony is going to have a Texas size fight on it's hands. They must have forgotten about Hiroshima. I do know those boxes are programmable. There are people already hacking them. After the drm crap they put on pc's without people's knowledge, I would not put anything past those "expletive deleted". There are a lot of us who can not afford all the new crap.
