Nice example of Apple's corporate behavior

Some people have been burned by iPods overheating, but the interesting thing is how Apple has used their lawyers to keep the story under wraps. And it doesn't seem they showed much love to their customers who were burned, literally. Let's see if this develops into a recall which I know Apple will fight to the bitter end as they're not going to part with all that money for the safety of their customers.

Apple has really gone sour since around 2004-2005. There are a lot of Mac veterans that are so disappointed with Apple lately that they have moved to Windows or even to GNU/Linux, me being one of them. I still slide between Mac OS and GNU/Linux, but I use the latter primarily now. They've really gotten to the point where they're just worse than MS in my opionion.

At least Apple is smart enough not to have all their eggs in one basket. I still think it is still a miracle that Apple even considered a bsd based os for their computers. By getting ahead of the curve with media players and communication devices they might outlast MS. The latest about burning ipods and news about security flaws in the iphone could really hurt them though.

I'm no fan of Apple, but what 14 cases of iPods overheating out of the millions sold? Is it really an epidemic? Are the statistics that much greater than other similar devices?
