Mobile-Review.com has a hands on review with over 100 pics

But what I can say for now is that it's the true mobile powerhouse in every sense of this word, that comes wrapped in a very eye-candy and functional UI at that. It won't become a hit, but at the same time the N900 is a milestone both for Nokia and the industry that won't just go unnoticed. The phone is supposed to hit the shelves late in 2009 and will go for 550 Euro (the price, however is subject to change).

550 euros?????!

Umm at that price point why would I buy this over a netbook or low end laptop that I upgrade?

The price will come down to $300 USD pretty quickly.

Nokia is notorious for releasing stuff with very high initial prices. The big question is which carrier will be offering it and will there be a subsidized price? My N800 is a solidly built device and I still like it better than my G1 for certain things. I'd like to check this out in person when it's finally released.

Nokia makes the N900 official with specs on their site.

Mobilecrunch says the launch date is October in Europe and the price will be 500 EU ($711 USD).

I love my N800. Great device that's very well built. Unless a U.S. based carrier offers a heavily subsidized price ($199) I can not see this thing doing well. Especially with the wave of Android based phones coming in the next 2 months.
