They were on sale for $67 dollars. I could not pass one up. Will do a review later.

I picked up an Archos 101 tablet for $280 from Tigerdirect. So far I'm liking it. Here are my thoughts regarding it:

Just as well to get the Archos 101. Best Buy jacked the price back up to $170 for the 8 inch and the 3.5 inch went from 39 dollars back to 100 dollars. Normally, I avoid Best Buy like the plague.

Well I bought the Insignia Infocast aka 8" chumby for about $70 from Best Buy. They vary wildly in price depending on the time of day. Got it home and downloaded the firmware image for the browser to a usb stick. Nothing to compile or whatever. Booted with the usb stick and was online fairly quickly. The Chumby seemed fairly responsive. You do need a keyboard unless everything you do is mouse oriented. Will have to build a battery pack for it. but that is no big deal since it runs on +5 volts. Worth the $70, but I would not pay $150 for it. Now i just need to build a test home automation server for more fun. Another chumby or the old nslu2 would be perfect for that. Not sure about the security with it yet.
