I've just heard about the OSX user base that the OS is just buggy as hell. I just wonder what you guys actually think OSX is ok?

I mean why do u love OSX and hate KDE if both have the same style and shallowness.

I mean if you use fusebox then why do u care about style?

I can't speak for the other guys. I will never buy an Apple product! I also use KDE as my main desktop. I think it's great.

I've been using OS X for about three years now and have not found it "buggy as hell" but it does have its share of problems. The OS itself has been pretty rock solid; rarely does it ever lock up on me or have I seen it lock up in use at work. Applications are a different story, especially non-apple applications.

Dreamweaver has always been tempermental on OS X. I've used MX and MX 2004 and both have crashed consistently when I have performed certain tasks. No matter how many bug reports I submit, it has not been fixed yet.

Flash is terrible. I gave my kids my old PB running Tiger and the damn browser locks up on almost every single flash based kids site they want to go to. It occurs whether they are running Firefox or Safair

A lot of hype has been built around the beauty, elegance and how well OS X is integrated. I'm not overly impressed by this.

This depends on what you mean by style. Are you looking for integration/interoperability? If so, fluxbox may not be your best choice there. But if you are talking about customization and "eye candy" fluxbox has a lot of style.

While I can see a bit of shallowness to OS X; I would in no way consider KDE shallow. There is far more depth in KDE I think; and more coming all the time.

Now I will admit I did my fare share of KDE bashing and after forcing myself to use it for a few weeks now, I have grown to enjoy KDE.

Personally, I stopped caring about style the day I heard about fusebox.

Dann, isn't OS X like a BSD/Mach system in the same way of GNU/Linux?

(A BSD system with Mach serving as the kernel)
