TLLTS BitTorrent tracker for higher quality OGGs/MP3s?

Have you guys considered starting a BitTorrent tracker for higher quality MP3, and OGG files? As you know, the drawback of having a show as long as yours, is huge file sizes, which results in 35 kb or less files. How about offering 64 kb files distributed through BitTorrent? For me, storage space wouldn't be an issue, how about everyone else?

The main problem with quality on the show is lack of preparation and lack of time for post-processing. That's the way the show is, and I don't think it's going to change. A higher quality file would mean more post-processing and wouldn't address the preparation issue at all. I doubt it would radically improve sound quality.

If someone wanted to get the raw files from Dann and do their own magic, that's an option, but I've never seen anyone offer their help with improving the quality of the show.

Another option would be to start a big fund-raising drive so the guys can quit there jobs and spend hours in preparation and post-processing.

HEY! Now THAT'S a friggin great idea!
Really, I wouldn't mind doing some bittorrent stuff either and it's been suggested a few times now. It would be a good way to distribute not only the files we have, but bigger ones as well. The problem we run into with bigger, higher quality files is, again, post processing. We try and keep that stuff down to an absolute minimum so we are able to provide an audio file as soon as possible after the initial webcast. That's the real rub here, that our audio quality is constantly compared to "regular podcasts" who may take days or weeks for post processing before release. Our show get's released within a half hour or so after we do it live.
Now as we have discussed before on the show, what we really need is a soundboard and a sound guy to run it while we are doing the show. We have some fancy equipment going on, but not enough of it yet, and nobody than can be completely dedicated to sound issues while we are all hosting the show. Typically, while most 'podcasts' have perhaps a mic, a music input and an aux input, we have 4 mics, 3 aux inputs, and sometimes 5 outputs going at a time, and it's more than out current setup can handle very efficiently.

If it weren't a 12 hour drive, I'd be there!
My church has a nice 20 channel Mackie board that would do the job nicely. I think stealing from church is a bad idea, though.
