Well it's not a completely different OS, it's FreeBSD with a few things built on top of it, DragonFlyBSD is quite different from FreeBSD.

I can easily list over 9 OSs I've personally used.

If you count Unix variants as individual OSs 9 is a pretty low number. Considering that PC-DOS and MS-DOS are arguably different (not to mention Windows variants), the numbers mount up quick.

Yeah, that's the real question here - how many have you all used? I can name a whol lot of them, but I have used quite a few as well.. Lemmie see if I can remember them all:

The distros I mentioned the version numbers of, is ones I've actually used, am using or have tested/played around with (Mandriva, Fedora, Red Hat, Red Hat Enterprise, SUSE, KNOPPIX, KNOPPIX-STD, SLAX, WHAX, Debian, Ubuntu, Vector, Damn Small, SmoothWall, Xebian, Gentoox Home, Gentoox Pro) for a while/over long term, those without version numbers mentioned is distro I've only tested for a little while and taken off my system again quickly (Linspire, KLAX, PHLAK, Kubuntu, Edubuntu, Xubuntu, KANOTIX, MEPIS, Slackware, VidaLinux, Gentoo).

FreeBSD, OpenBSD, PC-BSD, DesktopBSD, m0n0wall. That's the BSDs.

Thanks. Its a very powerfull distro once you find some of the hidden features but its not a noob distro. Although it was my 2nd or 3rd distro i used and didn't have too much trouble with it. But that might be because I had very generic hardware and didn't know or want to do anything advanced.
