The problem with the video you were talking about on show 119 is because the mplayer version is not the most recent one. I had the same problem when I tried to watch the go-open files which display but no audio. After updating to the latest mplayer I got the full faad support.

You must be referring to the mplayer in the aur repositories, the cvs version. I have not tried installing this yet.
Well, that cannot be the case. I'm still getting the faad2 error after installing the mplayer-cvs package from aur (did the compile and made my own package). Must be a faad2 issue.
