HP Drivers

Post by Patrick » Fri Jan 27, 2006 8:27 pm

Someone from HP just sent me the following message:

Hi Pat -

A follow-up from your conversation with Jeffrey Wade, HP. We apologize for
the late delivery!

The HP PSC 1510 is supported by HPLIP (HP Linux Imaging and Printing)open
source software. Printing, Scanning, Photocard access,
and Toolbox features are supported now and we are in the process of
releasing Fax support. HPLIP is located at
http://hpinkjet.sourceforge.net

HPLIP is an universal driver that supports all models. We do not
release an individual driver for each printer model (the Window way).
Printing, Scanning, Photocard access, and Toolbox features are supported
via USB and network connection.

Been using that driver for my PSC 1350 and so far its been pretty stable. My printer even has a 5-in-one media reader and when I put a flash card in my printer I can use it like a removable device. Although sometimes my printer has trouble loading paper but thats a hardware issue I think.
