Possible discussion on GP2X in future?

So, Dann, I've decided that I want a GP2X of my own... placing an order today.

Now that there will be at least two of us in the "TLLTS community" with GP2Xs, perhaps you could include a portion of the LaGER podcast to gaming with the GP2X.

Once I actually get the thing in my hands and actually use it for a while, I'd be happy to contribute.

Yesterday, my new GP2X arrived... and WOW, I am impressed and quite happy.

This is the first gaming device I've purchased for myself since my Sega Genesis, back in the early '90's. I'm really glad I decided to make the GP2X my entry into the modern gaming scene.

I blog a little about it at http://judland.blog.ca with some screen captures if anyone is interested.

Today I'm going to download some of the great games and software available for it and give a good workout.

Thanks, Pat.

Recently, a "desktop" application is in a kind of Alpha/beta release that (will) run Opera and an assortment of other PDA type tools, allowing you to use the GP2X to surf the web, among other things.

I haven't installed it yet, as you need to "flash" your firmware to support the desktop's network ability. I haven't worked up enough nerve to upgrade my firmware yet. :) However, the prospects look promising for the GP2X.

There's quite a talented buch of "home brewers" in the GP2X development community.

Here's another good user review of the GP2X.
