Nice work Dann. I like gaming and I like Linux, so this seems like a good fit. Is this going to be a weekly podcast? Any type of schedule planned?

Probably bi-weekly. Although nothing is set in stone yet.

Sweet. I will have to check it out once I get home.

Just to let you know, the links for LinuxGames and Tux Games on the blog don't work.

Nice work Dann, cool to hear your daughers on the show. Heck your 7 year old was way way way more inteligently sounding than my 15 year old sister! My sister, her name is Maria, can't even come up with reasons for a lot of shit, your daugher at least gave a lot of good reasons and descriptions, 'ey they must have gotten that from you Dann! :D

Anyway, you mentioned about having people to come on the show to talk about stuff, I'd like to volunteer, I've played A LOT of Unreal Tournament 2003/2004 and Quake 3, and I can do a review of those games right off the top of my head actually. Also, since I've been a gamer for a long time, I had to transition that to Linux, so I have pretty a good amount of experiences with Cedega, and I just started using it to play Medal of Honor Allied Assault (Feels good, blasting the shit outta the nazis!).

Nuts. I am just now getting to checking out the show and I can't download the episode. I tried to download the ogg and the mp3 but the connection just hangs and the download never starts.

Nicely done Dan! The kids behaved quite well. See all they want to do is be involved. Maybe Paige could do a segment on upgrading her mom's laptop to Dapper Drake when it's released in June.

LOL, nice suggestion Pat, and we really need this video taped, because then we can stick it to them Windows whiners out there, and say "NOW THERE! Do you still think Linux is difficult to install?" :D

Cool episode! Your daughter, Paige is it?, did a phenominal job!
She knew what she was talking about.. :)

I'm getting ready to try out this Elite clone. Back in the C64 days, that game was
one of my favorites. It's called OOlite..

http://oolite.aegidian.org/

However, I don't know if the video on my system will handle it. This game was developed
for Mac OSX (they even have a version for the new intel mac-minis.), but they have
a linux port.

The author has built in the ability to add mods to the game as well..

Check it owt..

I fully agree with that!

Dann, you should encourage your Paige to seek a job at gamespot.com, 1up.com or something like that when she gets older! :D
