Canada puts U.S. on torture watch list

It's only been about six years of suicide, torture, and imprisonment at the U.S. prison camp in Guantanamo bay. Better late than never, I guess. Hopefully this will start to shed some light on what's been happening down there. It seems like most people in this country are completely clueless. But then, again, when the media ignores this stuff, it's hard to blame them.

There was also a Democracy Now episode released back on January, 11th, that goes fairly in depth into what goes on there.

Richard Stallman wrote a Guantanomo protest song: http://www.stallman.org/guantanamero.html

I cringe at the thought of Stallman singing again.

We should put Canada on our torture list. They gave us Shania Twain, Celine Dion, Avril Lavigne and Nickelback! :)

It appears Canada has removed the U.S. from their torture watch list after pressure from the U.S. government. Surprise, surprise.

It's amazing how a little torture can change people's attitudes.
