Usually during Lent you are not supposed to eat meat on Wednesdays and Fridays. Some sects expect you to abstain completely on Mondays. You can have all the alcoholic beverages you want during lent on any day.

It's a pretty common practice to unsure that the food you consume is clean and this includes lent. I would suggest washing your meat if it has lent on it. And you can take that statement to mean whatever you want.
