any type of series catch up feature ?

i was wondering if there was anyway to have mythtv record a series and put the episodes or even just notate them with something like "season 1 episode 3"

it would be nice to have a type of catch up feature where i could just record every episode of say "the sopranos" and let mythtv look up in the tv database to know what episode and season it was. this way in a few months i would be able to sit down with ep1/s1 and watch them in order.

i figure it must be possible as i have the season 1 of "the dresden files" ripped from hulu and saved in my videos and when i download the metadata for and episode, it finds the show, episode and then notes it as s01e05 which is season 1 episode 5. so it seems like it should be possible.

or is this something i should try and suggest... i always hate to make suggestions on the mail list, because these guys have done more then enough for me.
