as for blackadder, there was 4 series of this show (all set in different time periods), the last series ('black adder goes forth') was set on the western front in 1917 and was by far the best of the 4 (imo) and it should be seen by all!

i deeply recommend you buy it, watch them and share them with your friends. you will not be disappointed.
i suggest you do what i did and take ~12 hours alone and watch them all at once,
