Your discussion with Dann really cleared up a good amount of it up for me. I can't wait until it's available, in a stable and useful form, for KDE.

Beryl 1.1 + Xorg 7.1 + AIGLX + Nvidia 1.0.9626 works perfectly with KDE 3.5.5 (although I don't use them permanently because there is a bad memory leak problem last time I used it)

Yes that is really my name, it's a Scandinavian name, it means "Thor's arrow", and Thor is the god of thunder in the Scandinavian mythology.

My last name is a little weird to most English speakers, it is "Just", which in English is a word, but it's also a Danish name. In English I'd say it would be pronounced like the word "just", because I think it's hard to pronounce it in danish for most people that don't speak Danish, Swedish or a language that is somehow familiar. Next time I talk to anyone who do not speak Danish, I could try having them try to pronounce it

My middle name is Milinda, which is embarrassingly close to Bill Gates' wife's first name (Her name is Melinda).
I am adopted from Sri Lanka, and my biological mother (Who I refer to as my "Sri Lanka mama" ) gave me that name before I got adopted (I was three months old then), and my danish parents (Only one of whom I consider my parent today, if you wanna know why, contact me and I'll be happy to tell you) kept that name for my full name, and I thank them for that, because I think it's a nice name, and I know that Sri Lanka is part of me afterall. It makes me very sad that they still havn't ended their war.

But enough of this talk about my name!

The Linux Action show recently interviewed Aaron Seigo, and he talked about transparency in different parts of KDE, that is where these new 3D technologies can really be of use, especially with desktop widgets that needs transparency.

I recently read a blog post by Lubos Lunak, a SUSE employee and KDE developer, on new compositing stuff in KDE's window manager, KWin, so this stuff will be built right into KDE 4.0, you can read Lubos' post here: http://www.kdedevelopers.org/node/2494

I'm a stability+reliability whore, I can't accept problems when I use my computer for just normal, real life things such as email, listening to podcasts, watching like Hak.5 and stuff, listening to music, chatting in IRC, watching porn etc. etc.

Also, I don't like the idea of having a GTK based window decorator that does not integrate into KDE, please note that I have nothing against GTK as a toolkit, but I don't like this "duck tape feeling" (And thanks to Thom over at OSNews for that brilliant term) that comes up when such an important part of the desktop, the window decorator, does not integrate well.
