Edgy Gnome Volume Control

Is there a different volume control that I can put in a gnome panel that:

1. Will show bars for master,pcm, and line.
2. The bars are directly interactive(no clicking to get a slider first, no double clicking to get more channels)
3. Works with mouse scroll.

I used to have this ability with kde and I really miss it in gnome. I'm using edgy and I haven't found anything.

In Gnome you can add any application to the panel. The volume control application in the Gnome menu can be added to the panel instead of the current volume control slider that just gives master volume. It may not be exactly what you want, but it's a better solution.

Just right click on the panel and choose 'add to panel'. There's an option in there that allows you to add a launcher for any app in the Gnome menu.

Do you mean adding a launcher for the volume control? The thing is that double clicking the current volume control slider already launches the full gnome-volume-control.

It doesn't on my system. I guess if the full volume control doesn't do what you need, I have nothing to offer. On my system, the Gnome volume control does most of what you want.

You could try installing gnome-alsamixer. It's somewhat similar to KMix in terms of features.
