I have submitted a suggestion to Sirius satellite radio to have a computer-related channel. They replied that it might be a good idea.
1. Can some of you guys make the same request so that we can get such programming? (Assuming you care about satellite radio

)
2. Can you provide archived shows to such a channel for airing?
Thanks for your consideration.

I would love to be on satellite radio or broadcast radio for that matter. I would prefer satellite since there aren't any FCC rules (yet). The question is at what price? In our conversation with Dave Slusher (ep 82) we discussed this in detail. Yeah, it's great podcasters have the opportunity to be heard by a wider audience. But we shouldn't be providing free material for other peoples financial gains. Case in point, the radio station in San Francisco is replaying podcasts without paying the podcasters. As long as the other guys agree, I don't have a problem submitting a sample episode for satellite replay. I would have a major problem if they asked for more free episodes without any compensation. Right now we do this for fun and the love of GNU/Linux. The moment someone makes it a business and starts charging for it everything changes. I guess we'll cross that bridge if we ever get to it.
