DRM free music (Legal)
The best site that i have seen so far that that has a good selection of music in MP3 and OGG format without DRM is http://www.audiolunchbox.com
I boycott DRM music so this site has come in handy. The files will play on any app or MP3 player that supports MP3 or OGG format.
Good luck!

I'll have to check it out. The albums that jumped out at me were the Desert Sessions with Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age. I'm currently checking out the collection of classical/medieval/renassiance music on magnatunes. There's so much it's really tough to decide on what to buy.
Fantastic stuff.

Here is one band that gets.
Here is one band that gets that they shouldn't make their fans automatic criminals.
I only hope other bands will do this - I do like some their music so I think I will buy this just to show my support and to show the fscking RIAA and MPAA that we do not need their fricken lawyers and to use the DMCA as toilet paper.

If you are interested there is a project called PyMusique which uses python and connects to the iTunes music database but when you download the music it comes DRM-less. The interface isn't that pretty but it gets the job done
. I don't know if it still works though, since I have no wifi card installed right yet i havn't been able to test it. [more info]

I tried PyMusique on Fedora when it was new and after installing lots of dependancies from source, I got it to work. Although it would connect and search, I could never get it to buy and download songs. Documentation was nearly nonexistant, and I didn't get any useful error messages.

It could be that iTunes has blocked it with the new version. Maybe SharpMusique will work since its at version 0.4 (while PyMusique is at 0.3).Gomer_X wrote:PyMusique = iTunes clone written in PythonCptnObvious999 wrote:glad you like it. I found a debian repository for Pymusique:

I'll have to try it on my Kanotix box tonight
