I saw this on use.perl.org and thought I'd pass it on. ActiveState, the company that builds Perl packages for Windows (among other things) has put together this white paper called "10 Myths About Running Open Source Software in Your Business." It's an 8 page PDF aimed mostly at pointy haired bosses. I think it does a good job of briefly addressing some of the major concerns about Open Source in an IT department.
I think this type of thing is great because ActiveState isn't a Linux company, they're respected in the Windows world and they're making money from open source software. Maybe some of you might know someone who can benefit from this paper.

If so many windows adminsand it management were not posterboys for the ms gestapo, I think that f/oss would already be the norm.
