A comment on TuxMachines calls Dann's admin skills into question.

I'm curious why this guy thought he had to have Webmin installed to admin his server? What was oh so hard via the CLI that he needed that utility?
Yeah Dann. Real admins don't need no stinkin webmin! :D

Well, since Dann is extolling the virtues of Windows Server 2008, I would imagine that he would prefer the superiority of a GUI with all the trimmings as opposed to a boring, clunky command line. :P

Did no one read my post? Of course not. Anyway there is a follow up post. Regardless, why is it I cannot find the registration link so I can comment to comments made to me?

Good question. They must have disabled new registrations. I have an account there. If you want, post what you want to say here, and I'll repost it on the TuxMachines comments and say it was from you.

We use ssh as much as anyone. that being said, people who think that webmin is for wimps does not have a clue to the power. Just one example, we like to use webmin to manage usermin. Usermin when managed by webmin is a great tool for allowing certain jobs to be done by non admin's in a non-techie way. Just point and click. I.e manual backups. We install both webmin and usermin on internal servers.
