XBMC
I've played around a bit on the Ion box and it looks real nice. It's suppose to work with Myth. I tried setting it up and I can see my recordings listed but it does play when selecting a recording. When I upgrade to 0.22 I may switch my Myth install to diskless instead of the usb thumbdrive I currently use. If I do that I may throw xmbc or boxee on the thumbdrive. I have to get the MythTV plugin working to even consider using xmbc full time on the Zotac Ion box. I was impressed how mostly everything worked without doing much fussing. Besides not getting the Myth plugin to work I had to do a bit tweaking to get vdpau working correctly. I'm pretty impressed by what the xbmc guys are doing. Very nice job.

Xmbc
Possibly interesting article on xmbc.

Re: XBMC
Any attempt at using the ION box as a diskless frontend? I'm thinking of building one and doing that. It means I don't have to purchase a hard drive or flash drive. That ION board you have supports wired network booting right? Any support for wireless network booting(I know it's a long shot)? Also how's the boot time and responsiveness using the flash drive and/or diskless frontend on your ION box?Patrick wrote:I've played around a bit on the Ion box and it looks real nice.
