OpenBSD 3.8 Released!

OpenBSD has released version 3.8, I plan to test this new one out a little later today, so far the changelog looks pretty good to me: http://www.openbsd.org/38.html#new

They're two different BSD OSes and each have their goals and policies, actually OpenBSD's development model is more like Linux, Theo de Raadt is the benevolent dictator of OpenBSD.

Check out the interview with FreeBSD release engineer Scott Long on episode 80 of TLLTS, Linc asks Scott about this.

If they would spend more time explaining why I'd want to use their OS, and less time talking shit, I'd be more inclined to give it a try. As it is, they remain fairly close to the bottom of the pile of future install candidates for my testing box. I should, however, probably hack around with BSD more than I do.
