Looks like he can be added to the list of bitter devs who released GPL software. I don't blame him for wanting to make money, but he shouldn't have released it under the GPL. Gomer_X is right, if you don't love the project you're working on, don't even bother.
The python and sqlite based podcatcher already has its own thread, I suppose. Maybe someday I'll be able to help, but so far my python sucks.

I have an extremely hard time imagining the "3 year" clause standing up in court.
