Who's the best show here?

Hey guys,

I know that you guys love the "Who's the best show here" shout-out at the beginning of the show, but you really need to turn down the volume on it! It makes my ears bleed every week without fail! :-)

I second that.

Yeah, I have to agree. The level of the "tech show" shouts in the intro is a bit too high.

Since the beginning of time the intro has been louder than the rest of the show.

I'd vote for turning up the rest of the show rather than turning down the intro. As long as the intro isn't distorting (and it's not), it's not too loud.

The more practical alternative is to just deal with the fact that the intro is loud and not crank the show up. It's worked for me for about 170 episodes. :D

i would guess its done on purpose to attract attention, an intro needs to stand out from the rest of the show, If it was the other way that would be freaky :P, it would scare the hell out of me if they did that :)

It sounded like you lowered "tech show" for episode 172. Or am I just imagining things?

The old intro was loud, but it wasn't painfully loud. Even in the new intro, everything is ok except the "Tech Show!" cheer (which I assume was recorded at the Ohio Linuxfest). If Dann can turn down the volume on that a little bit, it would be great!
