Who uses GnuPG?

I asked this same question on the LUGRadio forum, but also wanted to know what you guys thought:

I used GnuPG to digitally sign my e-mails, however I rarely ever get e-mails from others who digitally sign or encode their messages. Is digitally sigining e-mails a good thing to do or just a waste of effort? Is the lack of digitally signed e-mails just simply due to lack of knowledge on the part of those who use e-mail to communicate?

WellI see it as a good thing if you actually have any really important correspondance. I don't normally use it on email though. I do, however, use it for encrypting files occasionally though.

I use gnupg on my emails and other things. I also notice that not a lot of people use this technology.

Now with the idea of a digital stamp coming into vogue one must wonder how different is this from gnupg?

I haven't heard about digital stamping, however I'd guess the big difference is that it will be something you'll probably have to pay for... if Microsoft has anything to say about it
