Any Steve Jobs impersonators out there?

Post by Patrick » Tue Feb 06, 2007 10:21 am

We need someone who can do a decent Steve Jobs impersonation for an upcoming TLLTS segment. It will require pre-recording some audio clips for us.

No takers as of yet. The segment won't get produced unless we have a Steve Jobs imitation. Apple Elitist Radio will be much more funnier if we have the segment. Come on people, someone help us out!

I'm generally pretty good at impressions. I have never heard him speak, though. If I could get ahold of a clip of a speach or something I could give it a shot.

Pat beat me to it on the videos, but there are a few up on YouTube that I'm not sure are also on the Romain-Moisescot site. Particularly the "Woo!", "Boom!", and "All time favorites."

I currently only have internet access through work, and our proxy blocks this site. I found an MP3 of Jobs doing a commencement speach at Stanford, though, and that should do.

I could do a decent impersonation, but his voice is very high and thin compared to mine, so I don't know if it would be convincing. You could send me a script with a small piece of text you want done and I could try to work something up as a sample. I might be able to use some effects to get something convincing.

You guys should just grab snippets of Jobs talking and string them together sort of like those fake celebrity prank calls. I can vaguely remember what it was like to have time to do that sort of thing.

Unfortunately you can still get sued by Apple. You'd be using actual sound clips of him speaking. The only way around this is to get someone doing a parody of him. Remember this is Apple we're talking about here.

I just farted and it sounded exactly like a Steve Ballmer speech!
