Thanks for the Arch

Post by elgordo123 » Mon Feb 12, 2007 3:30 pm

Just a quick note to thank you guys for turning me on to Arch. I was using kubuntu for a long time and ever since 6.06 it kept randomly locking up my laptop. I decided to try arch on it. It is much faster than kubuntu, I haven't had it lockup once.
It is only little bit more difficult to setup and some ways it was a nice walk back in time to when we had to edit files and things like that to get a system going. It's well worth it to see my system boot in less than a minute and shutdown in less than 30 seconds. I like needing to add services and other things rather than have so much crap I'll never use running.
After almost 2 years of listening to the tech show, finally something I can use! Ha - just kidding.. By the way where is Linc? Should you rename it to "The Linux Missing-Linc Tech Show"???

:D

Glad you're liking arch, it's one of my favorite distros. Good stuff.

We kicked Linc of the show for working too much.
