Interesting HD tuner for MythTV (external network based)

This looks pretty interesting.

http://www.9thtee.com/hdhomerun.htm

Dual tuner box you connect your antenna and or cable lines to. Only has a network port on it for connecting to your network.

You can stream live HD from the box to any PC just running VLC. If you have an antenna and or cable box connected to both coax inputs you can supposedly stream two live HD channels at once.

It supposedly supports MythTV perfectly and works as a dual tuner device with it.

I am thinking about getting one and putting it in my equipment rack in the basement.

I have a Linux system down there running as a file server for my network and I was thinking about running the MythTV backend on it and using it to be able to dual record two HD channels at once (if needed). Supposedly the overhead is very low for these devices since you are just streaming the raw digital signal from the device straight to hard drive on the PC.

Found an Engadget review here.

Over on avsforum.com someone mentioned buying 4 of these so he could record 8 channels at once! Insane...

Don't have one yet, and I am not affiliated with anybody who makes or sells these things. Just a potential customer.

Curious what everyone thinks of this thing as a mythtv tuner.

I've heard they work great on the Knoppmyth forums. I'd like to check one out.
