Interesting how many times MS has been sued

A very interesting read here on the number of times MS has been sued... if you haven't seen it already.

It is a little old and out of date (2003), but I have never seen this list before.

I wonder if Novell has seen this list... the dumb arses

Funny, I went through this article and realized that I had taken the side of the plaintiff every time when this stuff was happening. Another pattern I found interesting was the amount of censorship (I mean gag orders) issued. I thought we were the socialists? Maybe a bunch of lawyers from the EFF should get together and try to bust the gag orders. Then the world would see exactly how much damage has been caused by letting one company take over tech.

yes novell were quite the dumbasses weren't they.

it still pisses me off that they sought fit to justify microsoft's non-existent IP claims on behalf of the community just so walmart feels better about linux.

sick of the corporate types thinking the community are IP theives when we are the ones that respect IP and microsoft isn't.

I know you're just using Walmart as an example but Walmart has been selling Linux machines for years. At least on their website.

Well, that didn't take long.... first court case I've seen so far that relates to "asta-la" Vista: The Register

I don't think it was because of that reason - but they wanted to start depoying it internallly for their coporate IT. At least as far as I can remember that is what the press reports said at the time. and yes I was just using them as an example. probably should of used goldman-sachs because I believe that is who was on stage at the time of the announcement.

sad 5m is just the cost of doing business for microsoft - they will pay them off and be done with it. bill g and steve b probably carry that around with them in cash. :D
