DYNDNS issues

Hi guys, I have been using dyndns for over two years to access my home network from wherever. This morning I cannot access my network using the the url. If I put in the public IP I can still access my network. I have been googling all day today but have not found an answer or even a similar problem. When I enter xxxx.is-a-geek.com it times out. I get the public IP from IP chicken and it will work sorta. Since my wordpress and other web apps are not set to use the public IP(which changes due to my isp) they don't load the proper pages. Any ideas?

No. It is like using a DNS server and then that server goes down. I am using DDWRT on a linksys router. The router displays the correct domain_name and it is associated with my correct public IP. If I use the public IP things work fine.

Well guys this has been solved. My son graduated and moved to College Station, Texas to attend A&M. He took an old router that I had set up as a backup. It was set up exactly the same as the one I currently use. Well to tell the tale he did not do any kind of reset. He just used it the way he found it. The domain was set up exactly the same on both routers. He just happened to call this morning and mention that he took the old router. Once I had him clear the DNS settings and reboot the modem and router my domain came back on line. I guess the internet tubes were clogged or confused.

Never believe someone that says "it can't happen" because bizarre things do happen.

I don't worry about him being an Aggie, the teasips don't know what a router is.
He actuallly graduated from the University of Texas system and is enrolling in graduate school at Aggieland. So he's got both ends covered.
