I'd been planning on using Linux for some time, but my missus at the time (now my ex!) was used to Windows and tied down by the software she needed to use. When she buggered off in August of 2004 I decided to give Linux a go.

It gave me something to do (rather than drink excessively and self-harm!) and made me notice just how arse Windows really was (and still is!)

I started on Red Hat 9 and have now moved onto Fedora 7 (via Fedora Core 4 through 6) and have even dabbled with other distros such as Mandriva, Ubuntu, Slackware, Debian and others.

I plan on putting Ubuntu on an Old laptop and have bought a Sharp Zaurus SL-5500 and a Nokia 770 just to up my geekness even more!

I'm now planning on doing the LPI certification so any comments or views on that would be appreciated. I've bought O'Reilly's LPI Certification in a Nutshell (version 2) and am on page 12 at the moment (only 950 odd to go!!)

Take care guys

Chris

PS > And I love the Linux crowd especially the TLLTS guys!!
