This looks to be a super simple way to set up a Myth based box. It's integrated into a Kubuntu install.

That is sweeeet. My myth box recently took a major shit - the mobo died and the hard drive refuses to boot, though I can mount it just fine with a live cd. I'll be giving this a shot for sure.

So LinuxMCE is another layer on top of MythTV. They've added their own installer, interfaces and setup tools. It also combines home automation along with voip. Pretty effin amazing! I don't know if I like the 3 button remote deal (reminds of the "you'll only need a 1 button mouse" Steve Jobs quote).
