Psshaw! Who are you going to trust? Some obscure guy named H.D. Moore or the most innovative and advanced company in the world - Apple? I know where my money is on.

What you have to realize is that the iPhone is so far advanced that running as root is not a problem because they worked out all the security issues with this years ago (that's years ahead of our time now). So no fears.

Move on, nothing to see here.

It's not a far stretch to envision an enormous IPhone botnet going around doing malicious things. Pretty EFFed up! Thanks Apple.

But that's exactly why Apple chose not to make the iPhone 3G capable and instead have it use the slow as shit Edge network. You see, that way the damage the botnets do will be limited by the crappy badwidth. You underestimate Job's genius Pat.
