Myself, I am a cat person. My cat is about 12 years old and he's a domestic shorthair, mostly black, and hence, his name is BC, Black Cat. My sister named him and gave him to me in 1997. In fact, he moved in with my girlfriend (now wife) before I did and she's more of a dog person.
He's an indoor/outdoor cat who does more than his fair share of keeping the local mouse, bird, and rabbit population in check. He has also caught a bat (bats must not taste good because it wasn't mauled) and a kestrel. The kestrel beat him up good but BC won the fight. I found the kestrel the next morning after hearing a fight the night before and BC was slightly bloody and missing some fur. BC has also been shot by a BB gun (at my previous address apparently by someone who doesn't like cats) and been bitten in the leg by something, dunno if it was another cat, dog, or perhaps a fox. Where I liveI have seen both foxes and coyotes but I think he's smart enough and his senses work well enough that he's able to manage his fight or flight mechanism.
He's friendly with people and is always looking for a handout.
Are you a dog person or a cat person?

I don't have any pets, but I HATE dogs. I don't have problems with cats, they're cool.
The reasons are:
1. They don't scare the sh!t out of you! When I visit a person who has dog, the dog always tries to semi-assaults me, which pisses me off.
2. They're polite! If a cat likes you it will rub itself against your leg for a minute at the most. If a dog likes you it will either try to f!ck your leg, sniff or lick your ass or try to make you fall to the ground.
3. They've got manners! I once saw a cat actually walk into a shrub to take a sh!t, and it did it all by itself. First of all, you have to take the dog for a walk when it needs to take a shit, a cat is intelligent enough to the point where you can teach it where to take a shit (In a box for instance). Also, whenever a dog needs to take a shit, they always seem to do it in a way that says "HEY LOOK EVERYONE, I AM TAKING A SHIT!" before shooting the foulest turd you've ever seen out it's ass!
4. They pay close attention to hygiene! When was the last time you saw a dog clean itself? I have never ever seen that.
5. They're quiet! I can't stand dogs barking, it's frustrating beyond hell, it's like having a noisy brother or sister that you just want to beat the sh!t out of to get them to shut up. Sure a cat can make noise by making hissing sounds, but I have never heard a cat hiss so loudly that it would make you deaf, I have had my ears hurt from a dog's bark.
Here's another example, when I see guys like this: http://www.dkimages.com/discover/previe ... 005875.JPG
I'm like "Hello", and the cat goes "Hi" or runs away if it's shy, and moves on with whatever it was up to before it saw me.
When I see guys like this: http://www.blackdogpromotions.com/mike.JPG
I'm like "Go away", and the dog is like "I wanna f!ck your leg", and I'm like "GET THE F!CK OFF!" and then it just starts chasing me, and I'm like "GET THIS F!CKING DOG AWAY FROM ME!"
I hope I didn't offend any dog fans, but this is just why I hate dogs.

I have to say I'm both. I love dogs and cats. Right now I only have two cats. When we get a house I want at least one boxer. Two would be cool.
Why are you watching a cat take a shit and then analyzing dog turds. Someone is looking at animal asses way to much. Perhaps we'll see a new site from T: 2cats1cup or 2dogs1cup. Now the latter I could see because a dog likes nothing more than to eat shit. They suck it right up!
Hey, if you are planning to come to the states let me know well enough in advance so I can get a dog to greet you!
awww! Doggy love T.Tsuroerusu wrote: 1. They don't scare the sh!t out of you! When I visit a person who has dog, the dog always tries to semi-assaults me, which pisses me off.
That's a cheap date my friend and one that will stick by you through thick and thin.Tsuroerusu wrote: 2. They're polite! Actually, dogs lick themselves quite often; especially the crotch and butt areas. Dogs are quite clean considering they are scavengers and consider filth and trash delicacies.Tsuroerusu wrote: 4. You never hear cats mewing at night in heat? My cat will break out in howls late at night and then come marching into bed for some attention.Tsuroerusu wrote: 5. They're quiet! Dann, if you ever had a girlfriend besides your wife, I do not want to know what they looked like ...dann wrote:That's a cheap date my friend and one that will stick by you through thick and thin.Tsuroerusu wrote: 2. I wasn't actually watching the cat take a sh!t, but I was on my way home and then as I passed some guy's house, I noticed a cat want right in from the main street and then hop into the shrub and sit there. I am not "analyzing dog turds", but dog turds are freaking everywhere in the summer, and it really pisses me off because it's just so f!cking foul! And you have to keep an eye out for them, because stepping in one is just .... yeah, really f!cking nasty!dann wrote:Why are you watching a cat take a shat and then analyzing dog turds. I'll take your word on it, but I still consider cats more clean! The thought of a dog that have just been out sniffing other dogs' sh!t, and then coming in and trying to lick your ass, UGH! I need a samurai sword!!dann wrote:Actually, dogs lick themselves quite often; especially the crotch and butt areas. I have actually never heard cats make actual noise, I have heard them meow, but that is far from making me deaf. A few years ago, I stayed over at a friend's house during the night, and his cat came over and slept right next to me, without making a sound, and not annoying me, just left me alone.dann wrote:You never hear cats mewing at night in heat? Hehe, I guess, which is why I'll have to see if I can get my cousin to smuggle a katana sword out into Denmark from Japan!dann wrote:And that, my friend is why dogs hate you too.Tsuroerusu wrote: I hope I didn't offend any dog fans, but this is just why I hate dogs.
Believe me Dann, if I go to the US it is not the dogs I'll be concerned about!dann wrote:Hey, if you are planning to come to the states let me know well enough in advance so I can get a dog to greet you!
