Not like we need more reasons to stay away from Windows.

the Windows operating system will wall off some audio and video processes almost completely from users and outside programmers, in hopes of making them harder for hackers to reach.

Microsoft makes it impossible for us to do what we want with our computers. Sounds familiar.

Anytime you have companies locking down something you bought it is a very very very scary proposition.

Is it going to stop just at movies? I doubt it - this will probably be microsoft's way of fighting viruses - just take people's rights away that were lucky enough to buy their junk.

I wonder if we will be able to install linux on these new vista pc's -

You can put all the drm/trusted computing crap you want on anything and you know what - the bad people are still going to steal. Except now the typical good guy consumer is being treated as automatically bad.

Also, if I say a phrase that I remember from a movie - like the one that you guys play and it goes over and over in my head "lamination of the women" and I say it or use it everyday isn't that stealing and are they going to DRM my brain.

Anyway keep up the shows guys - I do echo the sentiments of your guest on last week's show - I think you guys do a great job in doing this week in and week out - and I for one really look forward to listening every week.
