Re: RSS Feed for Forum
To me the new format is now ten times easier to check what posts are new. But I still also would love to have rss if it is possible without sinking the ship.

Re: RSS Feed for Forum
I'm working on it. The rss feed that you can subscribe to is currently broken. I have not been able to subscribe to it using any feed reader; the xml is invalid. So have some patience, I'll see about working on it this weekend.

Harshness. Maybe I need to find a forum to run on top of IIS and everything would just work, right?

Hehe, exactly! In fact, there's a fairly good one that I used to contribute a tiny bit to (Back in 2001, 2002, 2003 when I was still on Windows): Snitz Forums 2000.dann wrote:Tsuroerusu wrote:Oh come on Dann! If you get some sort of ASP module for Apache, it can also run on GNU/Linux or *BSD.

I'm a member on a few vBulletin powered boards (From the user's perspective, vBulletin is no more evil than say a homebrew web board, both could do malicious things), and at least one of the features you mention, "Multi-Quote", absolutely sucks ass, it's terrible. phpBB 3 kicks so much ass, that it can't be measured!allix wrote:You guys its all about vBulletin , the new some interesting features like Multi-Quote , Podcasting Support.

Re: RSS Feed for Forum
Aaargh! So I slueth out the problem and get it fixed and then I go to post the issue and my fix on the phpbb mod dev forum only to find out they just released a new version of the mod that fixes the problem. Oh well. The rss feeds should be working again. Note, though that you have to change your preferences to subsilver or prosilver to get the link to subscribe to the feeds. Once you do that you can copy the feed into whatever application you prefer and then change your back tothe red atom or whatever theme I have installed.
I hope to rectify this soon.
Anyway, let me know if things are not working.
