FreeBSD jail HOWTO

Post by Tsuroerusu » Sat Jan 26, 2008 8:57 pm

I've written a HOWTO article on FreeBSD's jail feature, that explains how to use it and a few good security practices. In case anybody is interested, you can find it on my website: http://www.troelsjust.dk/?page_id=204.

I welcome any comments.

Happy Hacking!

I don't know of anything on GNU/Linux that is as easy to use and as well integrated as FreeBSD jails, however something to check out is FreeVPS. OpenBSD does not have this, but they do chroot Apache by default, which adds one more line of defense to the security of Apache.
