At the moment its only seems to be available in england, france, germany and spain.
It looks like a sweet little laptop, has anyone played with it?

although its cheaper than getting with vista by £50 , its even cheaper getting it with vista via the business section .
Dell for some reason don't offer ubuntu in the business section.

so i ended up ordering it via the small and medium business section using my brothers company. I do wonder how they check if the company is real or fictitious as i entered the delivery address that's not his business address. Its cheaper this way than getting it with ubuntu via the home and small office section.

Its a real shame Dell don't offer ubuntu to small and medium size business as i cringed hitting the accept button knowing full well i have payed for a microsoft license that i am not going to use.

Anyway, once i get this laptop, windows is going be the first thing to be removed. And then i put a linux distro on it and write a mini-review on here.

When Microsoft assaults Red Hat or another open source company, we now know who to blame!

You could always run vista in a virtual machine. Thirteen is an unlucky number.

The Dell M1330 with Ubuntu is finally up on their website. It's $45 cheaper than the same exact configuration with Vista. Doesn't look like they're offering the Nvidia graphics card or fingerprint reader with the Linux machine. Hopefully they'll offer those options down the road at some point.

it will be interesting to see how i will get the fingerprint reader to work. I never went for the nvidia card, i think the intel integrated is good enough plus i will get more power life out of it.
